7th grade Science with Mrs. Walden

On Nov 6th science students presented projects based on the effects of weathering, erosion, and deposition on the environment in ecoregions of Texas and the effects of human activity on groundwater and surface water in a watershed.

Then, on Nov 17th all of 7th grade took a field trip to The Meadows Center for Water and Environment Conservation located at Texas State University in San Marcos. We took a tour through the Wetlands, Aquatic Aquarium, Glass-bottom boat ride over Spring Lake, and simulation of a Watershed showing how important water is to support wildlife and how we need to be conservative in our water use and be aware of how we can destroy it with pollution.
