The online registration will be through Parent Portal and we have been working with the Region 13 Education Service Center to resolve some programming glitches. Not all of the glitches have been resolved by the Region 13 Educational Service Center but we wanted to make this option available.
Parents may attempt to use online registration, for new and returning students, through the Parent Portal link on the district website. To access the online registration system, an account must be created in Ascender ParentPortal or use your existing account. Part of the glitch with this system is that Parent Portal will allow some registrations to occur online while others won’t work. This is the glitch we have been trying to resolve with ESC 13.
Visit Ascender ParentPortal for guidance on creating an account. If you have not linked your student in Parent Portal, please contact your child's school campus or the Technology department (830-995-6400) to get a Parent Portal ID letter.
If Parent Portal does not work for your student – or if you prefer the traditional registration method, Comfort ISD will offer the traditional paper registration for each campus in the campus cafeteria or library on the following dates and times:
Wednesday, August 5th from 8 AM – 4 PM @ CES and CMS campus cafeteria, CHS library
Thursday, August 6th from 10 AM – 6 PM @ CES and CMS campus cafeteria, CHS library
Please be advised that social distancing and wearing a face covering will be required during this time.
During the paper registration process, there will be a sign in sheet and a COVID screening in order to support contact tracing for everyone who comes to any campus building.
4 year old students should bring proof of 4 year vaccines as soon as they have their birthday
Incoming 7th graders should bring a shot record showing they received their meningitis and tetanus
New Students should bring:
Driver license of parent/guardian enrolling student
Birth certificate of student
Social security card of student
Proof of residence (i.e., utility bill with your name; rental agreement, etc. – please call the campus if you have questions)
Please bring the completed free & reduced lunch form that was mailed out last week (we will have copies available on site)
Any parent who has not completed the Learning Commitment Form indicating their preference for In Person Learning or At Home Learning will given the opportunity to do this.
Parents will be able to sign up for Parent Portal.
