COVID Update - Plan to return to school November 30th

Hello All –

Our district continues to monitor the COVID cases in our area.  Currently, Comfort ISD has not experienced an acceleration of the number of lab confirmed positive COVID cases, other than the ones that have been posted through our webpage notifications.  We will continue to monitor this as we make decisions for the safety of our students and staff along with our best ability to maintain continuity of instruction for our students.  As of right now, Comfort ISD plans to resume classes as normal on Monday, November 30th after the Thanksgiving Break.

Please keep in mind that to prepare for the event of additional positive COVID cases that could result in a transition to Remote At Home Learning for all students, we are asking that all students and staff take home their electronic device and/or packets for any changes that may occur.  In the event of a transition to Remote At Home Learning for all students, parents would receive a school messenger notification of any changes that would occur and there would be additional postings on the district webpage.

Also, as a reminder, parents may elect to transition their student to At Home Learning at any time; however, At Home Learners are only able to return to In Person Learning at the beginning of each grading period.  We will send out a Return to In Person Learning Request in December before the end of the current grading period for At Home Learners to indicate their desire to return to In Person Learning for the 4th six weeks grading period.
