At the Science Mill the eighth grade class explored with the hands on learning lab and the engaging demonstrations. The learning lab allowed students to see the effects of microorganisms in their everyday life. They were able to create their own culture in individual petri dishes that we will be researched and explored after the Christmas break. After the learning lab they explored the museum exhibits such as wind turbines, topographic maps, brain wave game, bio labs, chemical reactions, and virtual human body. The museum was packed with so many activities and hands on learning. After exploring the museum we had a wonderful lunch outside, where the students enjoyed more exhibits. After lunch the students got to see a 3D movie about the way of life in Antarctica and the effects of global warming.
