The Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott is urging all parents and teachers to realize the risks our children face online and take steps to help ensure their children’s safety. 

  • Tips for Consumers
  • In your Internet Explorer browser, select Tools, then Internet Options. Using the Privacy, Security and Content tabs you can adjust numerous settings that will help control how your browser handles privacy and security issues.
    In Firefox, select Tools, Options and make your choices under "Security", "Web Features" and "Advanced".
  • Check your search engine for filter options you can set on your computer.
  • Encourage your children to use "kid friendly" search engines.
