Drill Practice for Emergency Evacuations

Comfort ISD School Families:

Ensuring the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority at Comfort ISD. To help us prepare for various emergency situations, we regularly conduct safety drills throughout the school year. These drills are designed to help our students and staff practice and learn how to respond appropriately in the unlikely event of an actual emergency.

CISD will be conducting campus evacuation and off-site relocation safety drills to ensure students and staff are prepared for emergencies.

This will only be a drill and not an actual emergency.

Evacuation Drill Practice Schedule:

Comfort High School: Tuesday, August 19th, at 10:00 a.m.

Comfort Middle School: Tuesday, August 19th, at 8:30 a.m.

Comfort Elementary School: August 26th, at 9:30 a.m.

The drill is expected to last 30 minutes and will include students and staff practicing procedures for loading CISD buses and riding to Altgeld Field. Buses will then immediately return to campus to resume the regular school day.

Again, this will be a drill and not an actual emergency.

We are proud to work with our law enforcement to conduct this drill, and we appreciate our positive relationships with them. We thank them for their service to our community.
